Dear OBEN Club Members,

Happy 2010!  Although there is snow on the ground, it's time to think Soccer!? This  letter is to notify the members of OBEN Soccer Club of The Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be held on March 1st 2010 at 7pm in the Vernon School Cafeteria. At the AGM, the OBEN soccer club board will be reporting to its membership the current status of our club and announce exciting plans for the future.

As you know, the OBEN Soccer Club is a volunteer run, not-for-profit community based organization.  Our volunteers come from our membership and these volunteers need help to continue to do all the good things the club does.  Please consider getting involved!

The mission of this organization is to promote, foster and perpetuate the game of soccer through the establishment of organized team play, the development of skills at all levels and ages, and to instill team spirit, fellowship, sportsmanship and character.

The OBEN Soccer Club Board has worked very hard on updating its bylaws and realigning the positions that exist in an effort to better serve the needs of the club.  We are now accepting nominations to fill OBEN Board officer and director positions for a 2 year term effective July 1^st, 2010.   The final slate will be presented by the nominating committee at the AGM on March 1^st.
