All Kindergarten games will be at 10AM, Pre-K games are at 11AM
The OBEN Soccer Club’s Intramural Program is for girls and boys at the Pre-K and K grade level (roughly 4-6 years of age).
Players should bring a size 3 soccer ball, cleats and shin guards. Each season, you’ll receive a uniform. Registration is by season. Fall season runs for 8 weeks from September through November. And Spring season runs from April through June.
In the intramural program, children play within their own age groups with focus on fun, fundamentals and team play. OBEN SC has three goals for all intramural players: Pre-K and Kindergarten may have weekday practices led by a Volunteer Parent Coach on a weekday determined by the coach.
Volunteering to coach youth soccer is a difficult position that can sometimes be overwhelming. The success of the season and the amount of progress our kids achieve depend largely upon how well the team is run.
For the coach this can be a difficult and daunting task. Good team management, communication between parents, players, club, director and trainers is the answer to making life easier and less stressful. It leads to a smoother running, more rewarding season. The head coach is like a CEO of a company. Just as a CEO must organize, plan, communicate, staff, direct and control, a head coach must do these same things.
